The Dovers Electrical Services East Kingstown Sports Association softball cricket competition will climax this weekend with semi-final matches on Saturday and the finals on Sunday.

Last weekend, Attackers 2, Bank of SVG All Stars, Attackers 1 and General Hardware Supply Richmond Hill United advance to the Semi-finals.

In one of two Quarterfinal matches played on Saturday, Bank of SVG All Stars had an easy 89-run win over Combine forces.

Bank of SVG batted first and reached 132 for 8 off their allotment of 20 overs.

Glenroy Dasant slammed 45. He was supported by Kentish Pope, who made 33. Leonard Pierre took 3 for 23 and Haniff Warren 2 for 21, bowling for Combine Forces. In reply, Combine Force was dismissed for 43 off 10.5 overs. Earl Pope bagged 3 for 2 and Keon Boyea, 3 for 10.

In the other Quarterfinal, Attackers 2 got the better of Dovers Electrical Services by 6 wickets. Batting first, Dover Electrical Services were dismissed for 51 off 18.2 overs. Raffie Williams took 3 for 9, Kirby Simmons, 3 wickets and Dorran Dallaway, 2 for 8. In reply, Attackers 2 reaches their victory target of 52 for 4 off 13.5 overs. Marlon Cambridge made 14 not out.

In the other Quarterfinal on Sunday, Attackers 1 had a 43-run win over Smashers. Batting first, Attackers 1 was dismissed for 83 off 19.2 overs. Elrico Patterson made 24 and Renwick Williams 18. Felix Baptiste grabbed 3 wickets for 3 runs. He was supported by Raydon Bentick, 2 for 11, and Anthony Charles, 2 for 21.

In reply, Smashers was dismissed for 40 off 13.2 overs. Benson Hacksaw took 3 for 8, Desron Maloney, 2 for 5, and Ronald Medford, 2 for 12, did the bulk of the damage for Attackers 1.

In the last Quarterfinal game, General Hardware Supply Richmond Hill United had a 59-run win over Dr. Thomas Injectors.

Batting first General Hardware Supply Richmond Hill United reached 119 for 6 off their 20 overs. Zenroy Lee, 34, Peter Oliver, 27, and Justin Lee, 24, were the main contributors.

Kesron Ashton took 2 for 7 bowling for Dr. Thomas Injectors.

In reply, Dr. Thomas injectors were dismissed for 60 off 16.2 overs. Zenroy Lee, putting in an all round performance, grabbed 3 for 7. Elroy Cumberbatch took 3 for 12 and Colin Lee took 2 for 13 for General Hardware Supply Richmond Hill United.
