On Monday, teachers and students of the Diamond Government School were overjoyed to receive a generous donation by President Giving Life a Meaning (GLAM) Isabelle (Lorna) Lewis on behalf of the group.
GLAM is a non-profit organisation that believes education enhances the journey and therefore provides needed educational supplies and resources to the Caribbean.
Since 2010, GLAM has provided school supplies for over 1,500 students in St. Vincent and the Grenadines. This gracious donation has helped the students of the Diamond Government School by providing them with the necessary materials to learn and enhance their knowledge.
“On behalf of the teachers and students of Diamond Government School we would like to extend a sincere thank you to GLAM for ‘enhancing the journey’ for our children,” a release said.
