Leader of the Opposition and President of the New Democratic Party Arnhim Eustace will on Monday host a town hall meeting to address violence against women and other important issues.

The event takes place at the NDP Headquarters at Murray’s Road beginning at 10:30 a.m., and will be broadcast live on NICE Radio.

“It is imperative that we look at and discuss solutions to the challenges facing the too many of our women folk who are being abused and hurt in St. Vincent and the Grenadines,” NDP spokesperson Vynnette Frederick said.

The event was postponed from March 11, when it was billed as a major address to the women and girls of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).

The party had said then that Eustace would outline the NDP’s position and policy regarding empowerment and advancement of women in SVG at all levels.

The address was also expected to feature a ten-point plan for “re-positioning the women of St. Vincent and the Grenadines at the centre of policy to protect, promote, respect and empower them”.
