Head of the state-owned International Airport Development Company, Dr. Rudolph “Rudy” Matthias made what was easily the most partisan speech when a test flight landed at Argyle International Airport on Thursday.

Matthias seems to venture where the politicians and their known operatives seemed reluctant to go.

Did Matthias, as a public sector worker, go too far?

  1. He sure was Kenton, he is most certainly anti NDP and anti Arnhim Eustace. This man is employed by the people of SVG and should know his place. His speech was that of a ULP politician not of the CEO of a state owned company owned by all the people. I suppose this was a ULP election rally after all.

The aircraft that landed Gonsalves and wife never carried out any tests on the landing lights that day and was chartered by the airport company to carry Gonsalves to a political rally an election rally and that was proved by the whole content of that day including the speech by Rudy Mathias.

I suppose the belief that the airport is owned by Gonsalves and the ULP comes from Gonsalves, because all the machinery and the trucks at the airport are plastered with “I AM ULP” stickers, has been so since day one. So it quite possible posted across the bare backside of Mathias are ULP Stickers also.

  2. Kenton, Dr Matthias is no more a partisan than “you”, supposedly a journalist, but acting as a mouthpiece and damage control officer for the opposition NDP.
The partisan Dr Matthias I can understand, because of his responsibilities as CEO of the Argyle International Airport, but “you” a partisan journalist is most shocking and an insult to true journalism.
