The National Church Service in celebration of St. Vincent and the Grenadine’s’ 38th anniversary of Independence will be held today, Sunday, Oct. 22 at the Faith Temple Church, New Montrose beginning at 4 p.m.
The service, which is being held under the theme “Working together to enhance National Pride”, will be conducted by Monsignor Michael Stewart and will have Bishop Chesley Ferdinand of the New Testament Church as the preacher.
Several churches will offer prayers for the nation and a special offering will be taken for Dominica.
The service will be broadcast live on the National Broadcasting Corporation.
Organizers have extended a cordial invitation to the public to come and join in worship as the nation celebrates its 38th anniversary of independence.
