Urban Expression Theatre, an arm of the Urban League Inc., a community-based organisation in West Kingstown, is hosting its annual Youth Art Summer Programme for children 4 to 14 years old at the Dr. JP Eustace Secondary School in Edinboro.

The programme, which began on last week Friday, continues every weekday from 9 a.m. until Aug. 16.

The objective of the programme is to provide an avenue for youths to be engaged in the learning of creative and performing arts, namely folk dance, poetry, creative writing, arts and craft, and drumming.

There will also be sporting activities, a tourism talk, and a community tour.

The group was formed in 2005 and this is the sixth year of the programme, which has seen over 200 participants so far.
