WOUNDING: On Aug. 16, a 14-year-old student of Indian Bay, was arrested and charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding Joseph Da Silva, a 48-year-old businessman of Mesopotamia, to wit by stabbing him in his back with a knife, at Indian Bay on Aug.14.

WOUNDING: On Aug. 18, Stinson Ince, a 30-year-old mason of Rose Bank, was arrested and charged with unlawfully and maliciously wounding St. Mark Daniel, a 33-year-old labourer of Point/Bequia, to wit by stabbing him on the left side of his neck with a knife, with intent so to do, at Port Elizabeth Bequia on Aug.16.

SUDDEN DEATH: On Aug. 17, police received reports of the sudden death of Rex Billingy, a 47-year-old labourer of Bequia/ Byera. He was discovered floating in the seawater at Lower Bay on the Aug. 17. Billingy was taken to the Port Elizabeth Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival by the district medical officer. No marks of violence were seen on the body. A post mortem is to be conducted at later date to ascertain the cause of death.

STOLEN GOODS: On Aug. 18, Junior Providence, a 38-year-old labourer of Lowmans Hill, was arrested and charged with knowing one iPhone to be stolen goods, did dishonestly assist in the disposal for the benefit of another person, at Lowmans Hill on Aug. 3.

CONTROLLED DRUGS: On Aug. 18, Beno Lett, a 33-year-old labourer of Chateaubelair, was arrested and charged with having in his possession a controlled drug to wit 50 grammes of cannabis with intent to supply it to another, at Lower Bay Bequia on Aug. 18. He was also charged with assaulting PC 139 Oneal Baptiste of Port Elizabeth, to wit by grabbing him by his neck, he being a police officer acting in the due execution of his duty. He faces a third count for resisting the arrest of PC Baptiste, he being a police officer acting in the due execution of his duty, at Lower Bay, Bequia, on Aug. 18.
