The people of Union Island have come together to assist those affect in St. Vincent by the Dec. 24 flooding.

The venture was coordinated by local attorney Heidi Badenock of Ashton, Union Island.

Donations were given in the form of food, clothing, disposable diapers and many more items.

The items were expected to be delivered to St. Vincent on last Saturday on the MV Gem Star, to be collected by the SVG Red Cross and distributed to persons affected.

Donations were given from the Whyte Family, Badenock Family, John Family, Uptown Supermarket & Mrs. Stephanie Brown, Mills Enterprises, Wilson Investments, Mr. Jervin Thomas and others.

The residents of Union Island will continue to aid in anyway possible, a release said.
