I support 100% Sir James Mitchell’s comments on this issue, namely that the Official Opposition was caught asleep at the switch for neglecting their duty to criticise the budget even though government members kept silent after the PM’s presentation. Neither side was legally required to offer comment. But after all it was the government’s budget and their silence meant they had nothing but praise for it. The opposition’s near unanimous silence can also be interpreted as support for the budget. Once again Eustace has been shown as not competent enough to run a mauby parlour and his elected members too lazy to have even read the budget which is my interpretation of their silence.
