CARICOM leaders will have quite a long agenda when they hold their two-day inter-sessional summit in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) March 10-11.

One of the newest, and possibly most controversial items on that agenda is medical marijuana.

Chair of CARICOM, Prime Minister of SVG Ralph Gonsalves asked last year that CARICOM consider decriminalising marijuana for medical purposes.

But how high does this rank on CARICOM’s agenda?

  1. All these talking heads are good for are talking. For pete sake just legalize thing and make some money off of it before it’s legalized everywhere else. Why are we in the Caribbean always the last to do anything with sense. Legalize it and you wouldn’t have enough planes to bring in tourist, your hotel rooms would be fill to capacity. These people make me sick, something as simple as that? Muddawuk.

I believe a lot of people in SVG already use the weed for medicinal use. I have noticed a lot of lunatics and mentally disturbed use it.

My question is this, does it help mental health problems? or does it cause them?
