The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Diaspora Committee of New York, Inc., has embarked on an initiative to facilitate the establishment of the first Vincentian-American chamber of commerce and industry in the United Sates.

The objective of this chamber of commerce is to link Vincentian and American entrepreneurs and professionals in the United States and in St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) together, to pursue and take advantage of business opportunities which would lead to the economic and social advancement of Vincentians in the diaspora and at home in SVG, the committee said in a press release.

A consultative Round Table meeting will be held at the Friends of Crown Heights, Brooklyn, New York in May。 All past, present and prospective Vincentian entrepreneurs and professionals in the United States and SVG, who would like more information on this Round Table meeting should immediately contact (917) 701-3701 and (718)344-7920 for further information.

The initiative builds on its many successful efforts to draw Vincentians in the New York Diaspora closer to those at home, the committee said in a press release.

One reply on “Efforts underway to form Vincentian-American chamber of commerce”

  1. Peter Binose says:

I hope and pray that the have no political link with the ULP government, who have treated the Chamber of Commerce with contempt and spite in SVG.

I also hope that those establishing this link in New York are not collaborators to or of the Gonsalves regime.

It is ultra important that there is a clear divide.
