C.K. Greaves Stars and Custom secure upset win as action in the Fourth Annual Dovers Electrical Services East Kingstown Sports Association Softball Cricket Competition continued on the weekend at Grammar School Playing Field.

In one of two games played on Saturday, Custom secured a 2-wicket win over the highly fancied Buccament Bay.

Batting first, Buccament Bay were dismissed for 82 off 15.4 overs. Rawlson Stapleton made 25. Jason Hendrickson took 2 wickets for 5 runs and Jameson Burge, 2 for 29, bowling for Customs.

In reply Custom reached their victory target of 83, off 16 overs, while losing 8 wickets.

Roger Gibson made 21.

Buccament Bay’s bowling was spearheaded by Renrick Quashie, 2 for 17 and Shaurn O’ Garro, 2 for 18, while Rawl Stapleton and Lorenzo Degrads had 2 for 20.

In the other game on Saturday, C.K. Greaves Stars had an upset win over Valleys Boyz, beating them by 29 runs.

Batting first, C.K. Greaves Stars were dismissed for 81 off 16.2 overs.

Stephen Culzac made 18 while Randolph Bascombe bagged 5 for 14. He was supported by Brent Ollivere’s 3 for 8 and Harvey Derrick’s 2 for 21.

In reply, Valley Boyz were dismissed for 52 off 10.4 overs. C.K. Greaves Stars’ attack was spearheaded by Jevorn Williams, 4 for 12, and Ozico Williams 2 for 19.

In one of two matches played on Sunday Spartans had an easy 6-wicket win over Combine Rangers. Combine Rangers were dismissed for a paltry 56 off 16.1 overs.

Alex Providence, 4 for 14, Kamara Penniston, 2 for 12, and Raffie Williams, 2 for 17, all got amongst the wickets for Spartans.

In reply, Spartans reached their victory target of 57 for 4 wickets off 10.4 overs.

Bernard Bushay took 2 for 15, bowling for Combine Rangers.

In the featured match on Sunday, General Hardware Richmond Hill United had a 56-run win over Bank of SVG All Stars.

General Hardware Richmond Hill United were dismissed for a match winning 107 off their 20 overs. Zimron Humphrey top scored with 37. Breton Arrindelle, 3 for 11, Hugh Toby 3 for 13 Glenroy Dasant 2 for 16 and Kelly Murray 2 for 21 all got amongst the wicket for Bank Of SVG All Stars.

In reply, Bank of SVG All Stars were dismissed for 51 off 12 overs. General Hardware Richmond Hill United bowling was spared headed by Elroy Cumberbatch 3 for 16, he was supported by Colin Lee 3 for 20 and Zenroy Lee 2 for 2.
