Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves says he will respond after Vincy Mas to a letter from Leader of the Opposition Arnhim Eustace asking questions about the sudden resignation on May 21 of registrar of the High Court, Tamara Gibson-Marks.

“And I assure you that it is a full reply,” said Gonsalves on Monday, adding that the response was being typed but would not be complete before he left for the CARICOM summit in Antigua later that day.

“Let’s stop all this kind of rubbish about corruption and using the issue of the registrar as some kind of battering ram without merit and without right reason to beat the government,” Gonsalves said, adding that the registrar is not an appointee of the government.

In his June 23 letter, Eustace said it is critical that Gonsalves clears the air and take the necessary legal action, “given the current climate and widely expressed concern about corruption in this country”.

“I want to tell you straight off, I reject completely any charge of official corruption against my government,” Gonsalves said at a press conference, noting the nation’s favourable ranking on Transparency International’s perception of corruption index.

  1. “I want to tell you straight off, I reject completely any charge of official corruption against my government,”

And this my friends is why Dr Ralph is gone this election. The whole world knows that no one gets arrested for doing anything In SVG under the ULP, so if that isn’t official corruption I don’t know what is. Every time Dr Ralph talk it seems he is more interested in trying to out smart people than giving proper responses. NEWS FLASH Dr Ralph you are not speaking in defense of one of the corrupt people you defended all you life, you are speaking as the PM of SVG and you have to answer questions.

It must be tough to be you Dr Ralph, in government you can’t deal with the economy and if you leave government we are going to uncover all the things that your administration don’t want the public to know and you might end up going to prison for said uncovered corruption, so either way you are in a terrible situation. So you just take your time, but time longer than twine. OWN THE JAIL.

  2. The Prime Minister of SVG may be interesting to know that the former President of France, Mr. Sarkozy, has been placed on formal investigation after 15 hours of questioning by the french police yesterday for alleged corruption; and that the former Prime Minister of Italy, Mr. Belusconi, was arrested, prosecuted and is now serving 18 months sentence in community service for tax evasion and corruption.
Please take careful note Mr. Prime Minister. Trust me, YOU will be thoroughly investigated when your time comes; let’s hope it is sooner rather than later.
