Louis van Gaal admits it will not be easy to sign the players he thinks are needed to improve Manchester United. Almost everything went to plan, but the United boss is still not totally content with his squad.
The Dutchman has admitted he wants to sign new defenders before the season starts. Arsenal’s Thomas Vermaelen and Borussia Dortmund centre-back Mats Hummels remains Van Gaal top target.
Another priority for Van Gaal is cutting loose the players he deems surplus to requirements.
Those who are surely in the most danger include Javier Hernandez, Nani, Shinji Kagawa, Marouane Fellaini and Anderson. He is a tough but fair manager.
Louis Van Gaal fresh off a fairly decent World Cup has the Man U through Ryan Giggs as his assistant. They have already signed Ander Herrera (Athlectico Madrid) and Luke Shaw (Southampton) for hefty amounts. Where else can they strengthen? I don’t think you need to look any closer than at the back!
I’m fed up reading newspaper from England linking the following players: Thomas Vermaelen(Arsenal), Arturo Vidal (Juventus), Mats Hummels (Borrussia Dortmond), Kevin Strootman (Roma), and Angel Di Maria (Real Madrid).
To be fair, even at their ripe old ages, to lose Ferdinand and Vidic in the same window would be a hammer blow to any team, which leads me to believe that Van Gaal has plans beyond this season of winning the League.
If Evans, Smalling and Jones can step up to the plate and improve without the shadows of Rio and Nemanja being cast over them, then maybe Van Gaal would be a genius at the end of the season.

And where is, Kenroy Peters, the leading bowler in the 2014 Caribbean Four-Day Tournament? The king of 2014 was overlooked by all teams in this year’s T20 tournament and no one demanded answers. It’s hard to see this happening to the leading bowler in other tournaments around the world, without fans, officials, and commentators, raising questions.
Finally, the name change form Windwards to St Lucia Zouks?. We were a unit for so many years. If St Lucia is in a class by itself now, how long will it take us to catch up?
