After a sensational performance by Team SVG in the Caribbean Cup group stage, in which they qualified for the semi-final round in October, two players have struck deals with clubs in Antigua, where the competition was held.
Last Friday, central defender Kevin “Bobbing” Francis, who plays for System 3, and his teammate, prolific goal scorer, Oalex “Bounty” Anderson, left St. Vincent for Antigua, where they will play for SAP FC in the Antigua Premier League on a five-month loan deal, the details of which have not been made public.
Meanwhile, Team SVG will travel to Tortola on Friday to play a friendly against that island on Sunday, in connection to their 40th anniversary of football.
The Tortola Football Federation invited the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Football Federation to take part in the historic event because of the large population of Vincentians on that island.
