St. Martin’s Secondary School Parents’ Appreciation Day is the brainchild of the school’s current principal Wendell Edwards.

This activity began in 2014 with the aim of giving students the opportunity to publicly acknowledge their parents’ contribution to their secondary education and to show parents their gratitude, generally.

This year’s parent appreciation day was held on March 13.

The parent(s) of each child was invited to the school, where their children paid tribute to them in song, dance, and poetry recitals. Parents were also treated to an assortment of finger foods, which were prepared by the students with the assistance of their respective teachers.

At the culmination of the in-class visit, parents were invited to a parenting workshop hosted by the guidance counselor Lucy Theobalds.
