The Carnival Development Corporation has announced the name of the artistes who have been selected as finalists in the three categories of the Best New Song Competition.
The competition will form part of the launch of Vincy Mas 2015, to take place at Victoria Park on May 2.
The finalists in the various categories and the song they will sing are as follows:
Calypso Category
- Glenroy “Sulle” Caesar — “Appreciate Carnival”
- Cleo “Cleopatra” Hendrickson — “Sexy Gone Crazy”
- Kingsley “Hero” Roberts — “Three D woman”
Soca Category
- Aurella “Kahalia” Beach — “D Street”
- Orlando “Syxx Krazii” Foster –“Celebrate life”
- Mustafa “Tapha” Jackson — “Dishonerable”
Ragga Soca Category
- Aurella “Kahalia” Beach — “Da Sump n”
- Roland “Chico B” Veira — “Under D Bed”
- Kevin “Kev” Veira — “Change”
All finalists and a representative from the band Kinetic are asked to attend a meeting in Victoria Park on Friday 24 April at 4:30 p.m.
