We’ve all heard of Bill Clinton. He’s the former American president and husband of Hillary who was one of the best American presidents in modern times. He generated millions of new jobs, and left the United States Treasury flush with cash and a booming economy. He is seen the world over as a great president.

Well, he almost lost the American presidency when many Vincentian voters were not yet born or in diapers. Back in 1992, he nearly lost the American presidential race because of a woman named Gennifer Flowers. Ms Flowers alleged that President Clinton had an extramarital affair with her. She went public, embarrassed him and nearly cost him the presidency.

Bill Clinton wasn’t what anyone would claim to be a paragon of moral virtue, but, I don’t think anyone in the Caribbean, the United States or around the world would say that he was anything short of a great president.

If America had been so aghast at Bill Clinton’s personal failings that they denied him the presidency, they would’ve denied themselves a president that created millions of jobs and a booming economy. That would’ve been a travesty for the global economy.

When we elect leaders, we are not electing preachers. We are electing people who can lead a government and deliver real results that move a country forward. Regardless of whether you believe the allegations, this election is about more than that. This election is about who is best fit to serve this country in government.

The NDP has run one of the nastiest, dirtiest and most divisive campaigns in our country’s history. The people of SVG deserve better than innuendos, rumours, personal allegations and attacks. The people deserve a plan and a vision for the country. The NDP offers a cryptic and vacuous manifesto that talks much about “reviewing” things and, sometimes hints at their true plans.

Ahhh, you missed it didn’t you? The dreaded AUSTERITY word. Don’t know what that means? It means deep and dangerous cuts. It means if you have a job in government, your job is on the line. In Barbados, austerity has meant thousands of people getting fired. It’s meant thousands more getting their benefits cut. It’s meant a lot of suffering for families. And, Eustace used that dreaded word in his manifesto.

When you go to the polls, you need to ask yourself — what would the United States be like if they cast aside Bill Clinton because of Gennifer Flowers’ allegations? And, are you ready to cast aside a leader that has protected jobs and opportunity and transformed our society just because some allegations about an alleged personal failing surfaced? We as Vincentians must send a strong message to the NDP that the tactics of dirt and deceit have no place in our politics. We must tell them with our X that we prefer a politics based on ideas, vision and hope to one that wallows in the gutter. On Dec. 9, don’t let the politics of hate win. Don’t turn your back on a leader who has delivered so much and who has so much more to do. You know what to do — cast your X solidly next to the star.

  1. Well well well, you know the jig is up, when the ULP sycophants are invoking the ghost of political past, the Masturbater-In-Chief Bill Clinton…WTF.

Rodan, I am going to have some fun at your expense, after all, you are a joker, so I know you will appreciate this..if you going to compare Ralph Gonsalves to Bill Clinton within the context of surviving an election threatened by scandal of a sexual nature, then Monica Lewinsky is your girl, not Jennifer Flowers. And here is why, the Monica Lewinsky scandal came about because a woman by the name of Linda Tripp illegally recorded the conversation of Monica’s affair with Clinton…now compare this with the sex tape allegations that is now the talk of the town; a sex tape that the ULP acolytes are saying was orchestrated by a NDP Linda Tripp…you see where I am going with this right. There is no woman who has come out publicly and say they have or had an extramarital affair with Ralph Gonsalves. I think the Monica Lewinsky reference is more apt than Flowers, cause, we have both men in high Office when these scandals took place and both scandal came about because of a “sextape”. The Flowers scandal was really a side show and never really came near to derail Clinton run at the Presidency. But the Lewinsky scandal almost cost Clinton Presidency, in terms of him being impeached. I understand why you trying to avoid using Lewinsky, cause the similarities too jarring for you eh…

Let me help you out here, Ralph Gonsalves stated he never raped the Police woman; Bill Clinton stated he never had sexual relations with that woman….both men appear to be “lustful seducer(s) with a potency problem”; Bill Clinton loves having phone sex with Monica….Bill Clinton used to try to hook up with Monica in the late evenings; Ralph Gonsalves does go walking @4am to give reassuring kiss; Rodan, remember Kathleen Willey, she once alleged that Bill Clinton groped her in the Oval Office; what did Margaret Parsons alleged happened to her? Rodan, Bill Clinton took a cigar and…Ok ok…ah done.

Rodan, that is where the comparison ends…cause you really can’t be comparing the economic success of the Clinton Presidency to what Ralph Gonsalves is doing to our economy…you really can’t be serious, so I have to believe you got jokes. In eight years, Bill Clinton transformed record budget deficits to surpluses, created 22 million jobs, unemployment at the lowest in years…WTF has Ralph Gonsalves done in 14 years to our economy, other than to destroy it? I dare you to mention the airport, go ahead say it…yeah right.

Rodan, I am just recovering from your first set of jokes; now you come back with more jokes..so ah have to respond and say stop with the jokes, please, you killing me.

Rodan, the people reelected Ralph Gonsalves after the rape allegations, clearly that scandal didn’t influence the electorate. And I CAN ASSURE YOU, NO SEX TAPE ALLEGATION IS GOING TO INFLUENCE THE ELECTORATE IN THIS ELECTION…NO NO NO…RALPH GONSALVES IS GOING TO BE VOTED OUT OF OFFICE, BECAUSE THE ELECTORATE GAVE HIM FOURTEEN F**KING YEARS TO GET HIS ACT TOGETHER…AND HE FAILED MISERABLY. HE SIMPLY HAS TO GO, THERE IS NO FOUR IN A ROW.

,Rodan, whose P***y is this? ….Bill or ….LOL

    Bye Bye Rodan.

  2. 1. Bill Clinton benefited from a global international and American business growth that created millions of jobs that had nothing to do with his presidency.

    2. Bill Clinton cancelled the welfare received by millions of able-bodied Americans. At the time, many on the left said he was wicked to do so, particularly as a Democrat. After a year or so, most of these former welfare recipients were employed in the private sector, sometimes after receiving government-sponsored job training.

    3. Bill Clinton was impeached by the United States Congress, not for having sex with Monica Lewinsky, but for lying about his affair with her.

    4. Bill Clinton finally owned up to his affair with Monica and apologized to the American people for letting them down.

    5. Bill Clinton was never accused by at least four women of raping or sexually assaulting them.

    6. In no civilized country in the world is it believed that private morality and behaviour have nothing to do with fitness for elected public service.

Your comparison makes absolutely no sense.
