The Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force Crime Prevention Unit will join with several other law enforcement departments and agencies today (Friday), in staging the 2015 crime prevention exhibition.

The exhibition will be staged in front of the Central Police Station, Kingstown, and will have representation from the Traffic Department, Fire Department, Narcotics Department, Coast Guard, Anti-human Trafficking Unit, and the Criminal Investigation Department.

Presentations will also be made by the Customs and Excise Department as well as the Immigration Department.

This year’s exhibition is being held under the theme: “Crime Reduction Begins with Crime Prevention: Play Your Part Today!!”

The overall objective of the exhibition is to sensitise persons on how to be safe during the Christmas season and avoid being targets of criminals. Persons would have an appreciation of identifying counterfeit money, carrying cash, securing homes and vehicles as well as carrying wallets and purses safely.
