The Kidney Society of St. Vincent and the Grenadines Inc. has donated to kidney patients in the country monies raised at their initial fundraiser in March.
Francine DeYoung, administrator of the kidney society, met with patients who applied to the organisation for assistance to distribute cheques to the patients, who will use the funds for ongoing treatment costs associated with kidney disease.
DeYoung told patients that a full accounting of the funds raised from the fundraising event is disclosed on the society’s website.
“Thank you to all who supported our efforts this far and we look their support for our next fundraising event at the end of October for SVG Independence,” she said.
DeYoung went on to encourage persons, both locally and abroad to continue to give to the organisation so it can carry out its mandate of assisting persons battling kidney disease.
To make a donation to the organisation and its efforts, funds can be deposited in the account of The Kidney Society of SVG: First St. Vincent Bank Ltd.
