The host of a popular radio talk show remained in police custody Saturday morning after spending Friday night in lock-up as police conduct a sex probe.
Police are investigating a report that a man reportedly had sex with an underage girl, at least once when she was 11 and once when she was 12 years old.
The girl is now 14 years old.
In St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the age of consent is 15.
iWitness News understands that the talk show host was visited Friday night by two high-profile lawyers.
If a charge is brought against the man, he can be expected to appear before a magistrate, in camera, early next week.
iWitness News understand that the relevant persons are already making provision for alternative hosting of the radio programme, should the man be charged, and are also preparing for the public fallout from the allegation leveled against the host.

A lot of people are either still in denial or indifferent to sex with underage girls.
Yes, it is an age old problem — indeed one of the legacies of slavery the Prime Minister surely wants to obliterate with reparations from Great Britain (or not) — but this is not the old ages and the only way to reduce this heinous crime is through long prison terms as a deterrent for others and the encouragement of victims to come forward by protecting their identities and placing them in a safe house if necessary.
How come PM Gonsalves was not taken up for questioning and put in a cell when a number of women have come forward and alleged sex crimes by him against them?
Not the same accusation because of age but still allegations serious crimes.

Must be some big shot for his name to be an unmentionable one, and for him to be expected to meet with the magistrate in camera. Begs the question “Who is being protected?”
Considering the seriousness of sexual offences, I am not even sure what to do with this story but to consider it another nonsense story where no one is named.
