Keon Scott, the 30-year-old Glen resident who escaped custody at the Serious Offences Court on Friday, has turned himself over to the police at the Criminal Investigations Department (CID) in Kingstown.

About 11 a.m. Tuesday, attorney Linton Lewis accompanied Scott to the Central Police Station.

It was circulated earlier by some sections of the media that Scott was a suspect in the four murders, which took place between 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 13, and 2 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 14. But that information was inaccurate.

Scott is facing charges of possession of firearm and ammunition. He was on remand when he escaped and that is the only reason he was being sought at this time.

Jurani Baptiste, an 18-year-old male of Sandy Bay, who is in police custody as a patient at the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, is a person of interest regarding the four killings and is assisting the police with the investigations.
