The hearing of the petitions challenging the results in two constituencies in the December 2015 general elections in St. Vincent and the Grenadines will be held on May 2 and 4.
Chief Justice Janice Pereira has appointed High Court judge Justice Esco Henry to hear the case, after the Court of Appeal ruled on March 7 that a decision by Justice Brian Cottle to throw out the petitions last June was tainted by apparent bias.
The main opposition New Democratic Party has filed two petitions challenging the outcome in Central Leeward and North Windward.
The party is asking the court to declare its candidates the winners of the seats or to order fresh elections there.
Any such decision by the court will see the fall of the Unity Labour Party administration, which has a single-seat majority in Parliament.
But the respondents have asked the court to throw out the petitions as improperly filed.
The NDP is contending that that motion, in and of itself, is not properly before the court.
The hearings will take place at the High Court in Kingstown.
