Four matches will be played this weekend when the SVG Police Co-operative Credit Union Clinchers T20 softball cricket competition continues at the Richland Park Oval.

On Saturday, from 12:30 p.m., Sion Hill Tallawahs will play Country meet town out ah Trouble 2 and from 3 p.m., Shop for Less Nice Radio Clinchers 1 will meet Country meet town out ah Trouble 1.

On Sunday, from 12:30 p.m., Gairy Construction Stingers will meet Warriors Sports Club with a clash between Fullyloaded Ballerz and Dr Thomas Injectors, from 3 p.m., culminating the weekend action.

Country meet town out ah Trouble 2, Bruce Law Chambers Smashers, Sion Hill Tallawahs, Street Fighters and Gairy Construction Simple Boyz ended last weekend on a happy note after getting the better of their various opponents.

On Saturday, Country meet town out ah Trouble 2 collected easy points when RSVG Police made a no-show owing to official duties.

In the other match on Saturday, defending champions Country meet town out ah Trouble 1 went down to Bruce Law Chambers Smashers by 25 runs. Bruce Law Chambers Smashers, batting first, got to 118/9 from their 20 overs with Delano Woodley getting 25 as Glendon James took 3/7 from 3 overs. Country meet town out ah Trouble 1 were then dismissed for 93 on 19.2 overs with Jerando Jardine 26 being the topscore.

On Sunday, Sion Hill Tallawahs defeated Log Enterprise Supreme Strikers by 80 runs. Sion Hill Tallawahs batted first and reached 130 in 20 overs the topscore being Kirton Lavia 28. Log Enterprise Supreme Strikers were then dismissed for 50 in 11.1 overs.

Street Fighters, behind a punishing half-century from captain Ozzni Billingy, defeated Snipers by 112 runs.

Street Fighters, taking first knock, plundered the bowling to reach 180 from 15 overs, with Billingy getting 86, which included 6 fours and 9 sixes. Cedric Thomas got 35. Snipers were then dismissed for 68 in 13 overs. In the weekend’s final match, Gairy Construction Simple Boyz defeated Warriors Sports Club by 41 runs after batting first and reaching 138/9 in their 20 overs with Stein Joseph getting 31 and Jevin Small taking 3/26. Warriors Sports Club were then dismissed for 97 in 18 overs with Kenny Hunte taking 3/11.
