A brilliant all-round performance by Keadon Hackshaw helped South Windward/St. George to a comfortable 7-wicket win over Kingstown in their Zonal U15 match on Monday at the Sion Hill Playing Field.

SCORES: Kingstown 82 (27.1 overs), South Windward/St. George 88/3 (12.4 overs).

Kingstown, who were without captain and ace legspinner Luke Wilson owing to a leg injury, won the toss and elected to bat on a good pitch and sunny conditions. They recovered from the early loss of Ezroy Edwards (0) who was bowled by Solomon Bascombe with the total on five.

The score had moved on to 47 before the second wicket fell but after that it quickly went downhill as they slipped to 55/4 and outside on extras, the rest of the batting never contributed much. Hackshaw, who was the last bowler to be introduced into the attack with his right arm seam, grabbed 5/4 from 3 overs. Devon Fisher took 2/22 and Bascombe 2/26 to help dismiss their opponents well before the lunch break.

South Windward/St. George, who began their innings before lunch, were 58/3 off t10overs by the break.

They duly competed the formalities upon the resumption with Hackshaw (31*) and Marques Thomas (29) featuring in an unbroken 71-run 4th wicket partnership.

Hackshaw struck 2 fours and 2 sixes, the last one ending the match, while Thomas struck 3 sixes.

Trevian Mathews took 2/18 and Newton Browne 1/29 bowling for Kingstown.
