Three male workers at the Argyle International Airport (AIA) have been suspended from work as police and airport officials probe a report of unlawful sex with a female, said to be under the age of consent — 15.

A well-placed source told iWitness News that the AIA is especially concerned about a report that one of its vehicles was used to transport the minor and that the sex act might have occurred inside the vehicle.

Police investigating the alleged crime notified the airport of the development, triggering an internal investigation and the workers’ suspension.

iWitness News was reliably informed that Head of Security at AIA, Keith Miller, a retired police chief, advised the relevant members of the AIA staff of the development in a memorandum last Friday.

Miller advised that the three workers have been suspended with immediate effect, without prejudice, pending the outcome of an “internal investigation into their involvement in a matter raised with us by the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force”.
