Two Ottley Hall men have been remanded into custody on five counts of robbery allegedly committed on one day in Fairbaine Pasture.

The men are accused of robbing five persons of a number of items, ranging from two cigarettes to EC$550 in cash.

Kyron Bowens and Kirth Stapleton of Ottley Hall have been charged that on Nov. 12 at Fairbaine Pasture, being armed with a gun and a knife:

  1. they robbed Movie Pinder of Fairbaine Pasture of one 14 karat gold chain – value EC$750, one black Samsung Galaxy J5 cellular phone, value EC$499, one black and brown Coral cellular phone – value EC$60 and EC$20 in cash, total value, EC$1329, Pinder’s property, and at the time of doing so, put Pinder in fear of being then and there subjected to force;
  2. they robbed Shackie Delplesche of Fairbaine Pasture of EC$20 in cash, Delplesche’s property, and at the time of doing so, put Delplesche in fear of being then and there subjected to force;
  3. they robbed Sylvester Davis of Fairbaine Pasture of one gold Blu cellular phone – value EC$480, Davis’ property, and at the time of doing so, put Davis in fear of being then and there subjected to force;
  4. they robbed Bria Cupid of one red and white Plum cellular phone – value EC$100, EC$15 in cash and two Pall Mall cigarettes, value EC$1.50, Cupid’s property, and at the time of doing so, put Cupid in fear of being then and there subjected to force;
  5. They robbed Brian Sutherland of EC$550 in cash, Sutherland’s property and four bottles of Hennessey – value EC$300, one bottle of Johnnie Walker Red Label Whiskey – value EC$60, one bottle of Sunset Strong Rum – value EC$40, 10 packs of Pall Mall cigarettes – value EC$50, and EC$15 in coins, total value EC$465, the property of Gillian Martin of Fairbaine Pasture and at the time of doing so, put Sutherland in fear of being then and there subjected to force.

Chief Magistrate Rechanne Browne-Matthias upheld Senior Prosecutor Adolphus Delplesche objection to bail when the men appeared at the Serious Offences Court on Monday.

They were remanded into custody until Dec. 2 for the commencement of a preliminary inquiry.
