Three men were attacked and shot by three unknown assailants in Ottley Hall Thursday night, bringing to at least four the number of persons shot and injured in St. Vincent and the Grenadines that day.

At least eight persons were shot an injured in the country this month and two of the shooting incidents occurred on Thursday, leaving four victims nursing bullet wounds.

Police say Rayshawn Gibson, a 23-year-old labourer of Redemption Sharpes was shot in the Central Kingstown community around 7:05 a.m. on Thursday.

An unknown assailant wearing a hoodie approached Gibson and shot him in his left wrist while he was walking along the Redemption Sharpes public road.

Then, around 9:37 p.m. in Ottley Hall, three unknown assailants came out of bushes and opened fire on three residents of the West Kingstown community.

Carlos John, 48, a businessman, received gunshot injuries to his right shoulder, right leg, and his mouth.

Ishan Adams, a 23-year-old labourer, received gunshot injuries to his left leg, abdomen, and left hand.

Jahmia DeRoache, 17, also a labourer received a gunshot injury to his right foot, police say.

The three men were rushed to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where they are receiving medical attention.

Adams condition has been listed as serious, but James and DeRoache are reported to be in stable condition.

Thursday’s shootings follow that of a Calder chauffer in Diamond Monday night.

Police say Keyson Pompey, 28, was shot around 11:10 p.m. in the South Windward community.

Reports are that unknown person(s) shot Pompey in his right arm while he was driving in the vicinity of Diamond Woods.

The victim said that the assailant(s) hid in nearby bushes, from where they opened fire.

Police are also investigating the circumstances surrounding a shooting incident that took place in Edinboro on Sunday, Feb.18.

Richard Providence, 22, of Edinboro, was shot around 10:30 p.m. in the West Kingstown community.

Police say that some unknown persons shot Providence on the left side of his buttocks.

On Feb. 13, Leroy Barrow, 25, a labourer of Green Hill, was shot around 3:35 p.m. in the Central Kingstown community.

On Feb. 3, an assailant shot a secondary school teacher at her home on in Carapan.

Nadine Delplesche was at home with her son doing some chores when an intruder entered the house around 1 p.m. and shot her.

The child was not injured during the ordeal.

Police have not indicated whether they believe there is any link between the shootings, but say investigations are ongoing.

Police are asking anyone with information that would assist in these investigations to contact the officer in charge Criminal Investigations Department, the Major Crimes Unit, or any Police Station in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
