Police are investigating a homicide, which occurred in the vicinity of Block 2000, Old Montrose, Sunday morning.

Akeem “Dr. Weed” Cambridge, a 27-year-old labourer, of Old Montrose, was shot outside of his home in Old Montrose, by an unknown assailant around 5 a.m.

Cambridge reportedly received two gunshots to his head.

He was taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where he died about 9:20 a.m. that same day.

This brings the homicide count om St. Vincent and the Grenadines for 2018 to seven.

Police are continuing their investigations and are encouraging anyone, with information that would assist in the investigation, to contact the officer in charge of the Criminal Investigations Department, and the Major Crimes Unit at telephone number 1784-456-1810.

  2. RIP blood. The life in St. Vincent. The crime rate is staggering, it’s not safe here anymore. High unemployment, rise in cost of living. Vincentians wake up, it’s time. Lets do some real thinking, compare life before 2001 and from 2001 to now. You know how hard it is for those parents who work so hard and send there kids to school only for them to finished with all there subjects and have to be in the house unemployed. Charisma don’t work, life here is tough. Poor people rise above party politics.
