In a market where recipe books number in the hundreds of thousands, Christian educator Ann-Marie Ballantyne believes that hers is unique.

Ballantyne has released her first book “Vegan Delight: Wholesome, Healthful and Simple Foods for Health Reform” on the Amazon kindle platform.

The book encourages readers to follow veganism with a faith rationale, to the glory of God for the best results.

“With appetizing and healthy recipes, Vegan Delight introduces readers to the benefits of featured food items and ingredients. As a mom and wife, the author hopes to motivate home chefs to “make do” with simple, nutritional foods that are available,” a press release said.

Ballantyne’s journey into veganism started in her teenage years and was purposefully refined as she learnt the principles of health reform through her church — Thusia Seventh Day Adventist, the release said.

She practices healthy living with a motivation from Bible truths and her earnestness to glorify God.

Through Vegan Delight, Ballantyne shares, in a practical way, the merits of “man’s original diet” — “And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the earth, and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat.” Genesis 1:29.

The 200-page book with over 70 recipes, offers ideas for natural teas, appetising breakfast and lunches, dinners, healthy snacks and refreshing drinks.

“Ann-Marie hopes that all who purchase this book will be motivated by faith to follow the vegan diet for mental and physical vitality with the goal of fulfilling spiritual purpose in Christ as Daniel did. Daniel 1:1:8-20,” the release said.

The public is invited to download the Kindle form of Vegan Delight.

The paperback copy will be available in the near future, the release said.
