With the aim of delivering high-quality public service to the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, the Government Printery of SVG upgraded its printing equipment by installing some advanced machines at the end of August.

The new printing equipment includes an industrial high-speed colour printer, industrial black and white/colour printers, commercial colour printer/copier, industrial twin head stapling machine and other items.

The Government Printery plays a central role in the efficient operation of the SVG Government service. It is responsible for supplying all government departments and ministries with high-quality documents, sometimes, within a very strict timeframe.

Therefore, in order to improve the services, the SVG government launched a phased upgrade project of the Government Printery under the Civic Development Programme – the annually bilateral cooperation programme between the Government of SVG and the Government of Taiwan.

In recognising the importance of the upgraded project, Taiwan allocated EC$500,000 to fund product and its embassy in Kingstown said Taiwan and is very pleased to be informed that the project has been successfully implemented.

The Embassy of the Republic of China (Taiwan) in Kingstown stressed that SVG and Taiwan have established diplomatic ties since 1981.

“The people and government of Taiwan deeply appreciate the staunch support lent by the people and government of SVG in various international arenas and look forward to strengthening the bonds,” the embassy said in a press release.
