Chrisroy John and Hyron Shallow powered Ajuba of Spring Village to a 164-run victory over Ruddy’s Electrical at Cumberland Playing Field in the VINLEC North Leeward T20 Cricket Tournament on Sunday.

The pair shared in a record-breaking 235-run opening partnership for Ajuba.

John scored 111 not out off 65 balls, 9 fours and 7 sixes while Shallow scored 105 not out, 58 balls, 14 fours and 4 sixes.

Ruddy’s Electrical were dismissed for 71 off 16.3 overs, Seon Sween 19. Asif Hooper 4 for 5, Leon Samuel 2 for 12.

Century-makers in VINLEC North Leeward T20 Cricket tournament each receive an award of EC$100.

Results of other matches played last weekend are as follows:

Upsetters defeated Somerset by 14 runs

Upsetters 146 for 7 off 20 overs, Orville Franklyn 32, Cklon McKie 22. Nelson Williams 3 for 22, Ezra Glasgow 2 for 26.

Somerset 132 for 9 off 20 overs, Nelson Williams 30. Cklon McKie 3 for 17, Desroy Samuel 2 for 30.

Ruddy’s Electrical defeated Peto Stars by 9 wickets

Peto Stars 103 all out off 14.5 overs, Allison Samuel 43, Vangel Small 23. Augustine Bentick 5 for 16, Calute Lewis 2 for 25, Curtis Edwards 2 for 26.

Ruddy’s Electrical 104 for 1 off 14.2 overs, Roger Gibson 53 not out, Seon Sween 23 not out.

RSVG Police defeated Carlos James Troumaca Starlight by 6 wickets.

Starlight 147 for 7 off 20 overs, Nicklon Alexander 39. Bennitton Stapleton 2 for 11.

Police 151 for 4 off 16 overs, Rickford Walker 75 not out.

The tournament continues next weekend.
