A Byera farmer has been charged with last week’s chopping death of a fellow villager.
Police said on Wednesday that they have charged Roneam Baker-Caine, 26, with the murder of Fitzgerald Gregory Morris.
Investigators are alleging that last Friday, Oct. 26, between 11:09 a.m. and noon, at Byera, Barker-Caine caused the death of Fitzgerald Gregory Morris, 59, by chopping him about his body with an unknown object.
Morris’ death was one of two homicides reported in St. Vincent and the Grenadines on the eve of the nation’s 39th anniversary of Independence.
Also dead is Rodesha Bailey, 30, of Mesopotamia, whose body was discovered about 3:50 a.m. in Sayers, Mesopotamia with stabbed wounds.
Police say their investigations have revealed that Morris sustained chop wounds about his body. The incident occurred on the road leading to Manning Village, Byrea.
Police had apprehended a suspect in relation to that killing.

It’s seem like a trend , that these murder are being committed but people between 20 to 35 year old ?

People, crime is seriously out of control. Another family member has lost their life. People are getting killed. ULP is still debating. Vincentians are praying for a blessing.
Women rights groups are not encouraged by the ULP, no, them Guys rather set up bogus companies to rip off the Treasury again same time violent crimes traumatizing the communities. The ULP-Police doesn’t offer any kind of Trauma-help to persons directly affected in the community where these crimes happen. I don’t know for sure but I hope that they do.
