The Modern Medical Diagnostic and Treatment Centre at Georgetown has had its capacity to dispense heath services enhanced through a donation of medical equipment and supplies from former Georgetown resident Neil Corke and family.

This is the third consecutive year that Corke and his family are donating to the Georgetown community.

The latest donation to the Diagnostic centre took place on Dec. 23.

Deputy Hospital Administrator Idinga Miller was on hand to receive the items.

A visibly moved Corke expressed how important giving back has been to him and his family.

Prime Minister and Area Representative for North Central Windward, Ralph Gonsalves, reflected on the contribution the Corke family has made and extended his appreciation to the family for their generosity.

Minister of Health, Wellness and the Environment, Senator Luke Browne, in his remarks, thanked Corke and his family for their contribution and noted that he is looking forward to the future at the Modern Medical and Diagnostic Centre.

Tyrone Burke, one of Corke’s assistants with donations, was also on hand and gave a background of the contributions made so far; including the presentation of 100 book bags in September of this year.

Following the handing over ceremony, the Corke family treated a number of residents to lunch at the Georgetown Secondary School.
