A 19-year-old resident of the Redemption Sharpes is in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital (MCMH) after being shot in the Central Kingstown community Thursday morning.
Reports are that an unidentified assailant shot Romano Valentine in the back while walking in his community around 10:30 a.m.
Police say he was rushed to MCMH, where he remains in the ICU.
Police are soliciting the assistance from members of the public with information that will aid with the investigation and the prosecution of the perpetrator(s).
