The Rotary Club of St. Vincent South, along with the Ministry of Health, has joined with Starkey Hearing Foundation for a second year to give the gift of hearing to the people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

The Starkey Hearing Foundation mission clinic is scheduled to commence today, Saturday, May 10, at 8 a.m. at the Arnos Vale Sporting Complex.

Some 180 patients are scheduled to attend the clinic, which will run until Monday. Last year, approximately 300 persons benefited from the clinic through the provision of hearing aide and batteries, among other things.

Bill Austin founded the Starkey Hearing Foundation in 1984. Austin and his wife will also attend at the Clinic.

These are second hand hearing aids no doubt donated from overseas. Why are only good for other people’s leftovers?

    1. Get a real job Ben. Your constant criticism and unpatriotic way of thinking doesn’t fit you

  2. Kim Haydock says:

Shame on you for casting false aspersions when good folk like Starkey selflessly donote to improve the quality of life for Vincentians who are hearing impaired. The hearing aids are new and have given the gift of hearing to many Vincentians, some who are hearing for the first time.
