Telecommunications provider Flow is offering a special internet package for low income homes in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

“This plan is really aimed at reaching out to students, who are residents of homes which cannot afford our internet service at the current prices,” Wayne Hull, the company’s country manager told a press event in Kingstown on Wednesday.

On that service, Flow will offer 5mbs of download speed for EC$50 per month.
There are, however, criteria.

Hull said:

“The household must be receiving public assistance from the Government or if they are not on public assistance, they must be earning less than $10,000 per annum. They must not have had FLOW Internet in their homes in the last three years and they must have at least one student who is 10-18 years old.

“We are doing this so that persons who really cannot afford to pay the higher prices can offer internet to the children in those homes and I think that, as well, is another big change for us.”

He said the plan will be available this week.
