Former Governor-General Sir Frederick Ballantyne, 83, is in hospital, Prime Minister Ralph Gonsalves said on Sunday.

“I pause to say that we must keep Sir Frederick in our prayers. He is now hospitalised and we wish him a speedy recovery,” Gonsalves told his Unity Labour Party’s convention in Campden Park.

“He is a great man, a humanist, he has a fantastic soul and spirit and he loves this country more than he loves himself.”

Gonsalves mentioned Sir Frederick as he spoke about the ULP’s health policies and the ways in residents of St. Vincent and the Grenadines and the region have benefitted from them.

Specifically, he was speaking about Sir Frederick and SVG’s contribution to the World Paediatric Project, where Vincentians and other persons in the eastern Caribbean from birth to 21 years old can access acute medical care of a developed world quality free in SVG and in the United States.

  1. At the same time, schools are being closed because of RAT infestation. young women committing abortion in back areas. The only people who are profiting from this are probably the wealthier Vincentians, mostly ULP members who will profit from this by way of curry favor. This MOST LIKELY means nothing to Vincentians who continue to produce economic emigrants under ULP rule. How come you haven’t renamed the windward ‘highway’ after him? Or yourself?

  2. This man being part of the SVG elite watched as Vincentians slid further and further down that disastrous road to beggary and impoverishment as the elite enriched themselves through nepotism and cronyism. However no man lives forever and whatever wealth they amass in life must be left behind.

The Venezuelan nightmare that SVG is marching towards under the Gonsalves family regime!

The Venezuelan example where over five million people have fled and inflation rate has increased to 53,798,500%.
