Prosecutors in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, on Friday, withdrew an application to have two Vincentian men extradited to Grenada in connection with a robbery there.

Crown Counsel Karim Nelson told the Serious Offences Court that the Crown was withdrawing the matter against Anlee Parsons and Hyah Browne, both 23, of Carriere.

They men were alleged to have robbed the Carriacou branch of the Grenada Union of Teachers Credit Union of EC$26,205.60 around 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 11, 2019.

They were arrested in St. Vincent on Oct. 25 and had been granted bail pending the outcome of the extradition hearing.

The matter came up as scheduled one week after the court granted an adjournment, as Nelson was overseas on training.
