Police probe stabbing death in Lowmans Wd
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of Oketo Bowens, a 33-years-old, farmer of Lowmans Windward, which occurred in his home community about 1:45 p.m. on Sunday.
Police said that according to their investigations, the deceased and the assailant got into altercation.
The altercation escalated, resulting in Bowens receiving multiple stab wounds to his chest.
He was rushed to the Levi Latham Health Centre for medical attention and later died.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted to ascertain the cause of death.
Bowens’ death marks the 26th homicide for the year 2020.
Investigations into the incident continue, police said.

A combination of a macho culture, where men feel the need to prove themselves through the use of excessive violence and alcohol and drug abuse. Has led St Vincent to its current plight. There have been 26 murders so far this year in a country with a population of around 100,000 people.
