A man and his sister are suspects in two separate killings of elderly men in St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

iWitness News understands that the woman suspected in the death of 83-year-old Ulrick Hutchinson in Union Island on Thursday, is the sister of a man suspected of killing a 68-year-old man in the Mt Wynne mountains last week.

Police have launched a homicide investigation after the woman alleged that Hutchinson died as a result of an altercation as she resisted his alleged sexual advance at his home in the Southern Grenadine island.

Meanwhile, a 68-year-old watchman died in hospital on Tuesday, hours after he was met in his security booth at a quarry barely clinging to life, with injuries to the head.

The alarm was raised after the watchman, who provides over-night security at a quarry in the mountains, did not return home Tuesday morning.

He is one of a two-member team who works at the site, but his other colleague had not gone to work Monday night because of elevated blood pressure.

The two men had complained recently about their security shed being ransacked and some of their items stolen.

They had reportedly identified a suspect and iWitness News understands that that the man suspected of ransacking the shed might have attacked the watchman, beating him in the head with an unknown object.
