A Grenadian has tested positive for COVID-19 after returning home from St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
The National Emergency Management Organization (NEMO) in Kingstown said on Sunday that a Grenadian health official informally told Vincentian health officials of the development.
NEMO said that the patient is a 37-year-old Grenadian who had travelled from St. Vincent on Dec. 12 with a negative RT-PCR result for a test done on Dec. 9. On Thursday, Dec. 17, day 6 of quarantine in Grenada, the individual tested positive, NEMO said.
NEMO did not provide any information on how long the Grenadian had been in St. Vincent and the Grenadines before returning home.
The emergency management agency, however, said that its Health Services Sub-committee has commenced investigations of the reported case including contact tracing and testing, which thus far have not revealed any positive cases.
“The public will be updated when further information is available,” NEMO said.
The use of facial coverings by all persons in St. Vincent and the Grenadines, especially in crowded places during the Christmas season, is strongly encouraged, NEMO said.
“Hand sanitising and physical distancing should also be practiced. Organisers of gatherings such as Christmas parties are reminded to document attendees where possible to facilitate future contact tracing in the event that becomes necessary.
“The responsibility for the health of St. Vincent and the Grenadines is shared by every individual citizen and visitor, and that responsibility includes the compliance with all protocols and advisories,” NEMO said.
Meanwhile, SVG now has 19 active cases of the viral respiratory illness after four new cases were confirmed on Saturday.
One case is a returning national who arrived with a negative PCR test result from the BVI on Dec. 15, 2020, and tested positive on entry screening. Two UK nationals arrived on Dec. 12 with negative PCR results, tested negative on arrival then positive on day 5 testing.
The fourth traveler arrived from the United States on Dec.18, 2020 with a negative PCR result and tested positive for COVID-19 on entry screening.
“All of these travelers were in mandatory quarantine at the time of receipt of these results and will be isolated until cleared by two negative tests. Contact tracing and testing have commenced,” NEMO said.
SVG has recorded 104 COVID-19 cases, 85 of which have recovered.
NEMO said on Saturday that all quarantine protocols and COVID-19 advisories must be followed to reduce the risk of the introduction and subsequent spread of new COVID-19 cases in SVG.
“The Molecular Lab Unit of the Ministry of Health, Wellness and the Environment will limit the processing of RT-PCR samples to emergencies only over the Christmas weekend. Persons intending to travel during this period should immediately seek advice on the scheduling of exit screens,” NEMO said.

It has been proven over and over again that the testing for the virus is highly inaccurate. Elon Musk, for example took the test many times in a row; some were positive and some were negative.
I read an article from the great journalist, William Engdahl where he exposed that the the “virus guru” of Germany makes money every time someone gets tested. Bill Gates appears to be getting a great income from all this. Consider that so many that are locked-down are at home on thier Microsoft-system computers as they wait for thier vaccines sponsored by “doctor” Gates.
The (benevolent “strong-man” dictator) leader of Belarus, (I have been there many times), Lukashenko, was told by the Global Banking Establishment to lock-down his country (and get bank loans) or suffer the consequences.
More cases in the Caribbean in the next few months are inevitable. Even though over 99.9% of those infected recover (see the CDC website), no one wants to be in the (less-than) 1%.
The good news is that SO FAR THIS YEAR there are the fewest number of reported flu cases being reported in all world history…think about that one!

You will not be forced to get the vaccine, it is just compulsory, otherwise you will not be allowed to travel, go into supermarkets or shops or to large gatherings like church or sporting events. Some places are considering that those that do not get vaccinated get the death penalty for murder.
I feel sorry for the leaders of all these countries because no matter what thier opinion is they are forced to do as the misinformed (manipulated) crowd and media demands.
