St. Vincent and the Grenadines, on Wednesday, recorded 53 new COVID-19 cases, according to information extrapolated from the Coronavirus TaskForce’s daily dashboard.

Changes in the figures published by the TaskForce shows that there were 51 new cases among residents of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.

This brings to 515, the number of cases that are “under investigation” a phrase used to describe cases detected since Dec. 28 among persons in the country with no recent travel history.

The other two cases confirmed on Wednesday were imported cases.

The dashboard also shows that three persons have recovered from the illness, with the number of recoveries having moved from 119 to 122.

As of Wednesday, there were 531 active cases of COVID-19 in SVG, up from 481 the previous day.

SVG has recorded two COVID-19 deaths among the 655 cases confirmed to date.
