  1. The government’s response on the response of farmers has been a collosal failure. Either the government does not have the initiative to take action or lacks the knowledge. This reminds me of the word expired. The goverment has long pass its expiration date. The ministry of Agriculture is one of the biggest failure with respect to all the ministries. One of the farmers who are craying is proudly sporting the slogan ” lift St Vincent higher”. How much higher in terms of hardship can we go.

Predial larcenry is a direct response to the difficult that the average Vincentian faces. I am not condoning the act but there are some correlation between the economy and the increase in the economic evils such as unemployment and run away inflation. We are all in it together, when there is a leak in the roof , the entire family get soak. Folks continue to lift St Vincent higher.

  2. Well well there is an economic adage that says “high tide lifts all boats”. The opposite is also true. When there is high unemployment and inflation, there is an increase in ciminal activities and other associated crimes. The government’s response to the plight of farmers is lethargic at best. Lets hope for the best and continue to lift as St Vincent real higher .

Much of what Mr. Sutherland says is true. It is unfortunate that the government of SVG does not take farming seriously. ONLY TOURISM. The only time they do take farming seriously is when they get direct revenue from it or a big party boy gets benefit. I think that the government will have to take the theft of cattle seriously because the sale of cattle to Grenada is a source of revenue for the government.
The major indicator that proves the government cares not at all for farmers is the state of the access roads to farming lands. THE ONLY TIME THE GOVERNMENT DOES ANYTHING TO KEEP THESE ROADS SERVICEABLE IS WHEN A BIG SHOT BENEFITS SUCH AS A LAWYER/FARMER. THE GOVERNMENT MAY EVEN BUILD A BRIDGE FOR A SUPPORTER OR LAWYER THAT BENEFITS ONLY THE LAWYER AND 2 OR 3 OTHER FARMERS, WHILE THE AVERAGE FARMER (that really needs the income) GETS A KICK IN THE BACKSIDE!
WHAT ABOUT THE ROADS THAT BENEFIT 8 OR 10 FARMERS AND 30 OR 40 WORKERS?
Sadly, because of poor access most of these farms are no longer active.

IWNSVG, you should a get the COP’s position on this, lay we hair wa he hafo say. The Government puppets and lick boots stooges are way above their intelligence level, they don’t have a clue how to solve anything. The PM love talk bout millions a dollars cause it sung nice. Well, who in SVG ain’t brokes yet will soon be brokes. With da wastefull set a people who running govment. nb. A deputy DPP who maliciously shot a man in his leg fo iarkey and walking round freely. What D rass klaat a gwan ya? Farmers bawling, Pickney nigga bawling for food. Saboto, bwoy this video really look stink pon the ministry of agriculture and fisheries and de grossly incompetent police force. Time for aryo stand up to the big man an try fo curb these injustices ya.

  5. The answer is cameras! Cameras! Cameras! Hidden cameras can help to solve the problem. These farm inspectors should be investigated, especially for every investigation they handled and how it was handled.
The farmers should purchase several cameras all around the area. They can’t rely on the police and farm inspectors. Folks who buy meat should also inform the police of their purchased, or face a penalty if the purchase meat from folks who are not license to purchase and sell meat.

  6. Yes this is something I was thinking about the meat that the people are buying. Don’t they wonder where the seller get the.meat to sell. Just think about it. I know all is desperate to get some meat to eat. Buying those stolen meat could be very dangerous. It could be a set up and can wipe out the whole family who eat it. Be careful Vincentians it could be very dangerous.
