The New Montrose shopkeeper who was injured in a gun attack Tuesday night has died.

Police say that 57-year-old Dennis Quintin was rushed to hospital after unknown assailants shot him in the chest and abdomen in New Montrose.

Quinton’s son, Sean Frederick, announced his death on Facebook Wednesday night.

Frederick told I-Witness News that his father was shot several times about the body and lost a lot of blood.

He remained on life support at Milton Cato Memorial Hospital up to the time of his death, Frederick said.
