Members and affiliates of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Cricket Association Inc. meet today (Saturday) for the midterm general meeting at the president suite of the Arnos Vale Sports Complex, from 10 a.m.

The meeting will examine the audited financial statement of the Association, to cover the period Oct. 1, 2014 to Sept. 30, 2015. There will be the report from the executive, as well as the minutes of the last general meeting, which will also receive the attention of the members and affiliates.

It is expected that two resolutions will be presented to the general meeting, one looking at the restructuring of the premier division, and the other related to the finances of the Association. Further, the executive will reveal a rebranding of the website.

Each affiliated member of the SVGCA Inc. is entitled to send three delegates to the general meeting.

President of the Association, Kishore Shallow, has said that the period 2014 to 2015 was a successful year for SVG Cricket. President Shallow says that despite the reality of limited resources, there are evidence of major success stories, achievements and efficient management, while there remain opportunities for improvement.

He added that the SVGCA Inc. is committed to continued development in the best interest of SVG cricket, and that his organization will be guided by the current strategic plan to e-position cricket as the sport of choice in the country.
