KINGSTOWN, St. Vincent — Camillo Gonsalves, son of Prime Minister Dr. Ralph Gonsalves is open to contesting electoral politics in St. Vincent and the Grenadines but will only run if the people asked him to do so.

The younger Gonsalves, who is also the Vincentian ambassador to the United Nations, said on Star FM on Tuesday that “it is a delicate thing for me” because he is the son of the Prime Minister.

Gonsalves said that he has been involved in politics “from the start” but does not believe that representatives should be imposed on the people.

Gonsalves was responding to a question from programme host Sehon Marshall about his plans for electoral politics.
