Man charged for taking $13 during armed robbery
Zoraney Rouse, 20, a labourer of Campden Park, was on Monday, Aug. 29, arrested and charged for being armed with a gun, robbed Collie Johnson, a 26-year-old labourer of South Rivers, of EC$13, at Richmond Hill on Aug. 27. Rouse appeared at the Kingstown Magistrates’ Court on Monday and was remanded in custody until Sept. 5.
Paul’s Avenue men charged for counterfeit bills
David Laidlow, 43, self-employed and Naptali Diaz, 26, a labourer, both of Paul’s Avenue, were on Aug. 23 arrested and charged jointly for without lawful authority or excuse having in their possession at Paul’s Avenue, on Aug. 26, one EC$20 note 61 EC$50 bills, which they knew or believe to be a counterfeit of an Eastern Caribbean Currency note. Both accused appeared at the Kingstown Magistrates’ Court on Monday. They pleaded not guilty and were granted $2,500 bail each. The matter is adjourned until Jan. 10.
Campden Park man fined $1500 for growing marijuana
On Aug. 26, Desron Olliver, a 33-year-old labourer of Campden Park was arrested and charged for cultivating 54 mature cannabis plants, at York Mountain, Campden Park, on Aug. 26. Olliver appeared at the Kingstown Magistrates Court on Monday and pleaded guilty. He was fined EC$1500 forthwith or nine months imprisonment.
Union Island man charged for ammunition possession
Moses Garraway, 51, a fisherman of Ashton, Union Island, was n Sunday, Aug. 28 arrested and charged for having in his possession at Ashton, Union Island, on Aug. 26, seven rounds of 9mm ammunition without a licence issued under the Firearm Act.
