The following persons were arrested and charged for possession of controlled drugs over the weekend:
(i) Obadiah Francis, 48, farmer of Vermont, “1,362 grammes of cannabis”, with intent to supply it to another, at Charles Mountain, Georgetown on 08.11.13.
(ii) Keron Marks, 26, sarmer and Martin Hypolite, 51, farmer both of Rose Hill, Grenada, “7,718 grammes of cannabis”, with intent to supply it to another, at Charles Mountain, Georgetown on 08.11.13.
(iii) Edward Alexis, 21, labourer of Redemption Sharpes, “253 grammes of cannabis”, with intent to supply it to another, at Redemption on 09.11.13.
(iv) Johan McKie, 23, unemployed of Arnos Vale, “8,722 grammes of cannabis” with intent to supply it to another, (ii) attempt to export “8,722 grammes of cannabis” and (iii) had “8,722 grammes of cannabis with the purpose of drug trafficking, at ET Joshua Airport, on 10.11.13.
(2) On 09.11.13, Kyron Cain, 22, labourer of Richland Park was arrested and charged with the theft of two (2) ram goat, valued at EC$400, the property of Reynold Warren of Richland Park, stolen between 08.11.13 and 09.11.13.
(3) On 10.11.13, Kraig Smart, 28, labourer of South Union/Park Hill, was arrested and charged with eighteen (18) counts of theft, amounting to over $11, 000.00, stolen from Caribbean Agricultural Research and Development Institute (CARDI), between January 2012 to December 2012.
(4) The Police are investigating a motor vehicular accident involving motor vehicle PK 121, a jeep owned and driven by Nelon Prince, of Belvedere, which ran off Calder public road on 07.11.13.
The driver sustained injuries about her body and was taken to the Stubbs clinic she was treated and discharged.
