Police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident involving a car PU-884, driven by Jadese Francis of Richland Park, and a pedal cycle, ridden 22-year-old Asbourn Simon, an electrician of Fairbaine Pasture.
The accident occurred along the Belmont Public Road at 12:20 p.m., on Sunday.
Police say reports are that both vehicles were travelling in opposite directions when they collided head on.
Simon sustained injuries about his body and was taken to the Milton Cato Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
A post mortem examination is expected to performed.
